Hey Chris and Tekoa, I just watched your video on teamRipped and thought I would email you. My wife and I are into week 5 of P90X and are seeing great results. We also added Shakeology to our lives and I was wondering if you guys share a shake a day or do you each make your own with a scoop each?
We make our own with a scoop each. We also add some cinnamon powder, peanut butter, and a scoop chocolate whey protein for each of us. Its a big filling and delicious shake!
We usually have the shake as our breakfast after we work out. If we need more calories or way too hungry to workout before we eat then we will have some oatmeal or some eggs before the workout and have the Shakeology after.
I guess we decided that financially having two orders of Shakeology was a little too much at the moment so we figured that half of Shakeology is better than NO Shakeology. We also do Egg whites or Cheerios with it usually. We use Coach Wayne’s recipe which makes two good size shakes.
It’s interesting, you guys are a lot like us so it is encouraging to see your results with Power90. God bless as you do P90X and we look forward to seeing your results from that too. (I assume your a Christian from the Newsboys ‘Born Again’ song, myself, I’m a Youth and Children Pastor at a Baptist Church in New Brunswick, Canada).
Half Shakeology IS definitely better than no Shakeology! We are here to encourage everyone with our results that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I am really inspired by seeing your success video. And I really want to make the change in my life too. I am currently at 220 pounds and need to start off with Power 90. I have started it earlier too but somehow got derailed due to the routine turning out boring at times. What did you do to bring more variety to it.Also what all supplements did you have during your training phase.

Arun – Thank you! That is why we are here… to inspire others to make the same lifestyle change as we have. It is MORE than worth it! When we were doing Power 90 Phase 1-2 and we started getting bored we knew we were ready for Phase 3-4. As we started feeling like it wasn’t doing as much for us we pushed harder, did the cardio moves faster and added more weight for the circuit routines. As we got to the end we were pushing pretty hard and knew we were ready for P90X. We certainly have not been bored with P90X. With the vast variety of workouts with P90X we have seen great results. When we first started we only took a good multi-vitamin, whey protein, Protein Bars, and a product called Xtend by Scivation we got at GNC. We used Xtend for our recovery and it really helped prevent us from getting too sore. About 2/3 the way into Power 90 we added Shakeology to our supplements and loved it. Our energy increased, lost some of the stubborn fat, and reduced our cravings for unhealthy foods. Since we started P90X I have added the P90X recovery drink that I mix with the Xtend ad I have also added the Strength and Muscle Formula by Beachbody. I have been seeing some great results from this mix and will be posting 30 day pics soon! Do you have a Beachbody Coach to help you along the way? I started P90x 30 days ago.My friend let me have his disks to start off. I dont have the Nutrition plan so Im trying to keep a strict 1200 calorie diet. But i’m feel great its just im losing size everywhere but my belly. Im unemployed so i cant be buying all these vitamins and bars as what the nutrition plan says. DO you have any pointers. After this I going to sign up so I can have you as my coach. I watched your video and i love the results that you got. I am about the same size when you first started.
Hey John – With how extreme P90X is, you probably don’t want to go below 1600 – 1700 calories (maybe more) What is your height and current weight? with the proper levels of calories and the right foods you will be able to lose the tummy and sculpt your muscles. Congratulation to both, AMAZING !!! I’m on my 5 day on P90X and already feeling good and positive, also should be recieving shakeology in 2 days. As a starter i have a couple of questions and hope you can help me with them.
1. I dont have the diet book so it’s king of hard to know exactly what i can eat and the portions, what can i do ?
2. Will shakeology help me loose fat and pounds ? what is the best effective time to drink it ? does it taste good ? when will i see changes ?
3. 90PX yoga if very difficult and as a starter i can’t keep track of it,so eventually i feel like i did no excersice that specific day, what do you recommend ? It makes me feel down when this happens. I need motivation please !!!

I’m eagerly awaiting my order of power 90. I’m looking forward to getting started and eventually continuing on with p90x. I have to say though that I’ve been overweight since I was 13 and Ive tried many times to lose weight over the years never with much success. Now at 36 and 218 lbs I have to do something. My health has been good througout my life but I’m starting to feel the effects on my knees and ankles after a long day at work. I’m ready to do this!!! I’m also big time worried that when I am successful that I will have no idea what I need to do to maintain my results. I’m doing this alone and I know I will have questions. Do you have any advice for a newbie to the big bad world of “lifestyle change”?
Hi Mary Ellen! Welcome to the beginning of this amazing lifestyle change!
The biggest thing to stay on track with is your nutrition… it is 80% of your success!. We followed the Power 90 nutrition plan exactly and only stuck with one “starchy” carb item from the menu per day. Meaning if we had oatmeal for breakfast, we wouldn’t have a sandwich for lunch… we would eat something else that was veggies or lean meat with veggies. If we had a sandwich for lunch we would have an omelet for breakfast, etc. We tried to avoid all carbs except veggies at night as your body doesn’t need those carbs right before going to bed. I am very skinny and want to be healthy and get in shape, and I just ordered the Power 90 and plan to move on to P90X and so on, but I want to ask you a quick question. Did you get ALL of those muscles from JUST doing the P90X, or add your own workouts on the side? Thank you so much!

Good morning…I am ready to begin. My Power 90 should arrive today or in the next couple of days and I will start. I am very impressed by your results. I have put on much to much weight on, dealing with the aging process and tired of making it an excuse. I am thinking a coach is just what I need to keep help with questions and/or concerns and to keep me motivated. I have not been assigned a coach. Thanks Jordan! You just need resistance bands or dumbbells for Power 90. A yoga mat is good too for the yoga portion of the workouts and ab ripper.

I stumbled across your P90 video on YouTube this past weekend. I was trying to motivate my brother-in-law to start an exercise program. I was blown away by your results, as was he.
I did P90 this past summer/fall as I had gotten really out of shape. I was 6’2″ tall and 225 lbs. Once I started seeing results, I became so dedicated to the program that I only missed 2 workouts (after I feel off a ladder and cracked 2 ribs). I ended up losing 35#. Several people I work with as well as 2 of my brothers became motivated to start Beach Body programs.
I then started Insanity, but ended up hurting my knee with some of the jumping, etc. I thought it would be easy after P90 because I am a much more “cardio”-centric person. I do not like weightlifting.
I then moved to RevAbs as I am generally happy with everything except my lack of abs. Chris, I am somewhere between your 60 and 90 day P90 photos.
I know that I would love to get ripped like your P90X photos, but I am very apprehensive about starting it. I bought the discs from someone who started and quit.
I can’t seem to get the motivation that I had with P90. (I still have 28 days left of RevAbs). Honestly, the thought of doing another 90 day program which seems much more intense than P90 just makes me apprehensive. My spouse, though supportive, has no interest in doing P90X and thinks I look great the way I am.
As I said, I really do not enjoy weight training. Though I do think that if I started seeing results, I would become more into it.
I have not seen major results in RevAbs, but I have a feeling this last month may kick this up as it is much more intense than the previous 2.
Any tips you may have? I sent your P90 video to my brother who has just finished his first month. He is totally into it as he is now seeing results.

I was doing Chalean Extreme. then i got pregnant. now baby’s 8 mths old. started off again w/ Jillian Michael’s workout, and CLX. currently, in the 2nd mth of Insanity. will be doing p90X after this.
I’m from Singapore. Can I join your team? I’d like Tekoa to be my coach, but Im not sure if I’m able to sign up w/ Beachbody. Can I?
Another thing, Beachbody don’t do shipping of Shakeology to Singapore, so any other alternative on how I can order Shakeology?
or can i still get ripped and see results even w/out taking Shakeology or any other recovery drink from Beachbody?

You won’t be able to get Shakeology or the Results / Recovery there unfortunately (unless you can find someone that gets it shipped to them from someone in the states to sell it out there. You can still see results without those things, you just really have to dial in your nutrition.

another thing i’d like to ask is, does Tekoa have a copy of the wkout sheets u guys did on P90X?
would like to see what are the weights she used as reference. Tony in P90X didnt mention the weights used unlike Chalene in ChaLean Extreme.
and which prog. did u guys do? Classic? Lean?
is it right for ladies to be doing Lean instead of Classic? can i be doing Classic as well? wat r ur thoughts on this?
We don’t have our workout sheets any more, but Tekoa started with 5, 8 and 10 pound weights. What is important is you pick weights that make you struggle on the last 3 reps with good form. Your target is 12-15 reps to tone muscle and 8-10 reps for bulking muscle. We both did Classic P90X, but it is up to you which you want. Lean has less pull ups / push ups than classic, but classic will build more strength.

First of all great job!! on transformation. I saw your video and i am inspired now!!! I am thinking to do p90x as well. But before i began anything i have a question for you.
1. I am 5.5″, 220 lbs, which one should i start first power 90 or should do the two rounds of p90x?
2. I am pure vegetarian so do they have food guide for the pure vegetarian?
3. Do i have to take any supplement? if yes then why and which supplement and when do i have to take it?

Do you need supplements? http://dream-2-reality.com/supplements/do-you-need-supplements/. If you were to choose only one supplement (and I wouldn’t even call it a supplement since it is a meal replacement), I would choose Shakeology. It is a nutrient dense meal replacement shake made from superfoods and actually tastes very good. I actually don’t need to take vitamins while drinking Shakeology and it fills me up as a meal.
As far as the vegetarian nutrition there are not vegetarian plans in the nutrition guides for Power 90 and P90X, however there are plans with a club membership, or if you make me your coach I can help you dial that in to work for you. I now primarily eat a vegan diet, so I can help you with that.
