Lemon Cream Pie Yogurt

Do you ever miss lemon bars or lemon cream pie?  Here is a quick and easy recipe that tastes just like it, but is a great snack or healthy dessert option!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup plain, Non-Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
  • 2 Tbs fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp pure lemon extract

 

Instructions:

Mix protein powder into yogurt, then stir in lemon juice, and lemon extract.  Serve in a dessert dish and garnish with a lemon peel.

 

Note:

I like my lemon cream pie yogurt tart, but you can always adjust the amount of fresh squeezed lemon juice down to 1 Tbs for a sweeter lemon flavor.

 

Stats:

216 calories

38 grams of protein / 10 grams of carbs / 2 grams of fat

74% protein / 17% carbs / 9% fat

With stats like these, this makes an excellent after dinner dessert or night-time snack!

Yeah just ate something similar with Lime Juice...kinda tasted like key Lime pie! I need to try the lemon!
